Rheem Furnace Models

Some of the Rheem furnace models we offer have two stages of heating. Rather than operating at 100% capacity each time they are turned on like single stage furnaces, these systems operate at either 70% or 100% capacity to keep your home at a comfortable thermostat setting. The low heat, energy saving stage is used the majority of the time. However, when the outside temperature drops significantly, the furnaces will kick into 100% capacity, the high heat stage to warm your home. The temperature of your home stays at the comfort level you select, regardless of how you set the thermostat.

RGRM 95% efficient 2 stage furnace with variable speed blower

• Two stages of heating: 70% capacity or 100% capacity for extreme cold days and nights
• Compatible with single or two-stage thermostat (for optimal performance a two-stage thermostat is recommended)
• Heat exchanger is constructed of all stainless steel for maximum corrosion resistance and thermal fatigue reliability
• Low profile “34 inch” design is lighter and easier to handle and leaves room for optional accessories
• Left or right side gas, electric, and condensate drainage connections
• Integrated control board manages all operational functions and provides hookups for humidifier and electronic air cleaner



• An insulated blower compartment, a slow-opening gas valve and a specially designed inducer system make it one of the quietest furnaces on the market today
• Variable speed blower motor technology provides ultimate humidity control, quieter sound levels and year-round energy savings
• Optional indoor or outdoor combustion air; combustion air may be piped to either the top or side of the cabinet on all upflow models; a special molded fitting is provided to ease installation
• Solid bottom is standard
• Control board diagnostics; a variety of cooling coils and plenums designed to use with the Rheem Classic® Series 95% A.F.U.E. gas furnaces are available as optional accessories for air conditioning models

RGRL 95% efficient 2 stage furnace

Features of the Rheem Classic Series with Dual Comfort Control include:

• Two stages of heating: 70% capacity or 100% capacity for extreme cold days and nights
• Constructed of aluminized and stainless steel for maximum resistance to rust and corrosion, the heat exchanger is renowned for its reliability and efficiency
• With the call for ignition, the integrated furnace control then opens the gas valve; the redundant gas valve is a 24 volt slow-opening valve that delivers gas in a regulated flow to the in-shot burners



• The natural (or optional LP) gas is ignited by the direct spark ignition at the in-shot burners; the in-shot burner’s shutter free design requires no adjustments to regulate the air/gas mixture
• Direct spark ignition is an extremely reliable and efficient way to light the burner and eliminates the need for a standing pilot; for added safety, the remote flame sensor constantly monitors the burner flame to ensure it is operating as it should
• Thanks to adjustable controls for the blower, your technician can precisely match airflow to the specific comfort requirements of your home
• Integrated furnace control is the “brain” of the system, which directs all activities of major furnace components

RGPQ 80% efficient 2 stage furnace

Features and benefits of the Rheem Classic Plus® Super Quiet 80 gas furnace include:

• Two stages of heating: 70% capacity or 100% capacity for extreme cold days and nights
• To help improve the sound quality, the door and top-plate to provide a sound barrier between the furnace’s operation and your home
• The integrated, two-stage control board directs activities of the gas valve and blower to efficiently keep your home at its comfortable best
• Direct spark ignition is an extremely efficient way to light the burner while eliminating the need for a standing pilot; for added safety during operation, the remote flame sensor constantly monitors the burner flame to ensure it is burning as it should
• Because it usually runs at the lower speed, you will enjoy energy saving and operation that is quieter; working in conjunction with the two-stage burner and the heat exchanger, this induced draft blower quietly pulls hot combustion gases through the heat exchanger and vents them safely outdoors
