Rheem is a popular manufacturer of gas furnaces known for their reliability and long life. Rheem offers a wide selection in multiple price points, so it is easy to find one that meets your needs and budget.
Rheem offers three different series— the Prestige Series, the Classic Plus Series and the Classic Series— each with a number of models. These represent higher, medium and lower price ranges, respectively, while also offering commensurate levels of features. Regardless of the series and model you select, you can be sure it will provide energy efficiency and comfort for your home.
Rheem furnaces, particularly the Prestige R98V gas furnace, are engineered for all aspects of performance, including installation and maintenance. The lightweight design makes it easier and less expensive to install and the 7-segment LED display simplifies service calls as well.
Rheem’s impressive mid-range to high AFUE (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency) ratings range from 80-96% depending on the model. AFUE above 90% is considered high efficiency.
Rheem’s top furnaces feature the company’s patented heat exchanger that offers improved air flow and reduced noise. The aerodynamic design reduces drag that creates whistling sounds in less well designed systems. Several of the Prestige Series models are 20% quieter than most and are among the quietest furnaces available.
The PlusOne Ignition System, a Rheem exclusive, is a direct spark ignition system that provides unparalleled reliability — nine times more dependable than other igniters. The accompanying PlusOne Water Management System includes a blocked drain sensor which shuts the furnace off automatically when a drain is blocked.
With the EcoNet Smart Monitoring System, one of the most notable features of the Prestige Series, users can receive service alerts, remotely control the furnace from anywhere and get servicing help by accessing the mobile app.
Rheem offers limited lifetime and 20 year warranties on some models.
The highest efficiency models may be eligible for utility rebates, making them an even greater value. Ask your HVAC professional for available rebates.
