• Be sure the rebate applies to the location of the home where the new equipment will be installed and, in the case of Xcel, that the property is an Xcel customer.

Trade-Ins

Some rebate programs require that your new, energy efficient equipment is replacing an older, inefficient system. To qualify, your trade-in must be operational or capable of becoming operational with repairs.

Xcel Residential Cooling Rebates

Xcel residential customers in Colorado can earn up to $500 in rebates when purchasing a high-efficiency cooling system. Your contractor must be committed to Xcel Energy’s Quality Installation guidelines. A rebate of $500 is available for a new high efficiency A/C or ASHP system that has a minimum 15+ SEER rating or a 12.5 EER rating. A rebate of $200 is available for a new standard efficiency A/C or ASHP that has a SEER rating under 15 or an EER rating under 12.5
