Water Heaters

Water Heaters

Traditional water heaters store heated water in a large 40- or 50-gallon tank in your home. This heated water sits in the tank until someone turns on the hot tap. As this heated water is used, the tank is refilled with fresh water and heated again for you to use later. At Indoor Air Quality, Inc. we offer these standard “tanked” water heaters, and we can help you determine which models qualify for utility rebates.

Go Tankless

The trend in water heaters today is the tankless water heater. Rather than storing warm water in a large tank in your home and using constant energy to keep the water warm, tankless water heaters use energy to provide hot water only when you need it.

Benefits of Tankless Water Heaters

Tankless water heaters are much more energy efficient than traditional water heaters. Because of this fact, most tankless water heaters qualify for water heater utility rebates. Other benefits include:

  • Hot water never runs out because it is heated on demand
  • Water heating costs are reduced
  • Hot water scalding risks are reduced
  • Indoor or outdoor models are available
  • Attach to an interior or exterior wall
  • They are compact, measuring just two feet tall and weighing less than 55 pounds
  • Save space in your home
  • Hard water sediments do not form in the water heater, helping to extend the life of your tankless water heater
  • Can last 20 years or more

It is important to understand that a tankless water heater will not heat your water any quicker than a traditional tanked water heater. The hot water must travel the same piping system in your home to reach your faucet. Recirculation pump systems can be implemented with tankless water heaters to provide instant hot water.

We offer several different types of water heaters from which to choose. If you would like to learn more about how a tankless water heater can help save you money on your utility bills, please contact the tankless water heater professionals at Indoor Air Quality, Inc. today to schedule a review of your current water heater system.
